Linda “Lollie” VanWinkle was born Jan. 27, 1947, and passed away Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at the age of 76. Lollie loved birds, squirrels, wind chimes, and all things outdoors. She loved being with her family more than anything.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Nash and spouse James; grandchildren, Cody Brown and spouse Jessica, Brandon Brown and spouse Jayd, Brittany VanWinkle and spouse Shelby, Sean Mahana and fiance Mattilynn, Dallas Mahana, Kaycee Griffin and spouse Casey, Steven VanWinkle and spouse Kasha, Hayden VanWinkle, and Justin Shrope; bonus grandchildren, Chelsi Clayton and spouse Bo, Baeli Short and spouse Steve, and Laini Jones and spouse Wesley; great-grandchildren, Carson, Lawson, Jaxson, Bryor, Graesyn, Charlie, Rowdy, Rowyn, Finley, Lynin, Creed; and Kaiden sister, Elizabeth McCamon; and brother, James Dickerson and spouse Katy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve VanWinkle; sons, Stevie VanWinkle and Jeff VanWinkle; and parents, James W. Dickerson and Phazana Shoemake.
The family received friends from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy,. A private burial was held at Bilbo Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
