All-District honorees announced

The DeQuincy Tigers placed several players on the recently released All District Football team that was voted on by the head coaches of the district.

Senior Wyatt LaVergne was voted to the First team Offense as running back. LaVergne had an exceptional year at running back during district play as he rushed for over 100 yards in each game.

Making second team all district on the offensive side of the ball were, Carter Buxton as a lineman and Quentin Pharris who made it at the receiver position.

Making Second Team on the Defensive side were M.J. Clark and Cameron Joyce who both made it at the defensive lineman position. Lindsey Joyce made it as a Defensive Back. Wyatt LaVergne made second team at the Linebacker position.

Several players made the Honorable Mention team and they are as follows:

  • Shiloh Cotlong – Linebacker
  • DaCorius Griffin – Defensive line
  • Grayson Henderson – offensive line
  • Hayz Hext – Defensive end
  • Cameron Joyce – offensive line
  • Clifford “Trey” Joyce III – Free Safety
  • Koby Pool – Wide Receiver
  • Kheidron LeDay – Defensive Back.

Congratulations to all the players on earning the honor of representing DHS and the DeQuincy Tigers on the all district team.

The team’s head coach is Tate Woodward.
