Alice Clark

Alice Marie Clark was born in Opelousas. She graduated from Sumpter Williams High School in Morgan City in 1967. In 1971, she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education from Grambling State University. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Education from McNeese State University in 1984. She embraced a growth mindset to hundreds of children with her expertise for over 40 years in the Educational System.

She was a member of Evergreen Missionary Church for over 50 years. She was an usher, mission sister, and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

She is survived by her husband, Albert Clark; one son, Todd Clark of DeQuincy ; one daughter, Alicia Clark of Lake Charles ; one stepdaughter, Crystal Clark of Jacksonville, Fla.; four granddaughters; one grandson; one step grandson; three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Joyce Carter of Gray.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Octavia Jones Mickens; and a brother.
