DeQuincy Primary School’s Teacher of the Year is Camron Taylor.
Taylor graduated from McNeese State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2017. This is his third year teaching. His first year, he taught in an Autism self-contained class at EK Key Elementary. Then last year he moved to DeQuincy Primary to teach 2nd grade.
He loves getting to impact the young minds of his community. Taylor always tries his best to make learning as fun and engaging as possible and make his classroom a safe place for my students to be themselves. DPS is a great school with some incredible teachers, so it is a huge honor to be chosen to represent them as teacher of the year.
