Tigers drop game to Notre Dame

Last Thursday night DeQuincy met up with 6th ranked Notre Dame and they lived up to the ranking besting the Tigers 42-3.

Only scoring for the night for the Tigers was courtesy of a 28 yard Kohen Cormier field goal in the second quarter.

Notre Dame scored in every quarter taking the 28-3 half time lead adding a touchdown in the third and fourth quarter. To take the 42-3 win.

Carson Rainwater was 6 for 15 for 67 yards passing. No interceptions.

Clifford Joyce caught 2 passes for 42 yards to lead the Tigers. Quentin Pharris had 3 catches for 19 yards and Koby Poole had 1 catch for 6 yards.

Rushing leaders were Koby Pool with 15 yards, DaCouris Griffin had 13 yards. Wyatt LeVergne had 7 yards rushing.

Defensively Mitchell Pharris had 5 tackles, Kheidren LeDay had 5 tackles and MJ Clark had 5 tackles to lead the Tigers. Neigel Ceaser had 4 tackles. Wyatt LeVergne had 3 unassisted and 4 assisted tackles. Clifford Joyce had 3 tackles and DaCouris Griffin had 2 unassisted and 5 assisted tackles for the Tigers.
Cameron Joyce did have an interception on the night.

Up next for the Tigers is their final home game of the season against the Lake Arthur Tigers. The game will be played Oct. 27, at DeQuincy Tiger Stadium. It’s is also senior night for the home standing Tigers where all senior football, cheerleaders and Band members will be recognized. Game time 7 p.m.
