DeQuincy hosts Mutual Aid Association meeting

The DeQuincy Police Department had the distinct honor of hosting the 847th Southwest Mutual Aid Association meeting held at the Managan Center in Westlake. Major Jerry Bell, DeQuincy Emergency Manager, gave a short presentation on the DQPD, introduced Chef Roy Williams and LTC Annajo Haynes then spoke about what a great place DeQuincy is for families.

Approximately 75 persons attended the meeting and were treated to a wonderful meal provided by Rebecca Smith on behalf of the city of DeQuincy. Those also attending from DeQuincy were Sherri Breaux, Kim Rainwater, Lynn Treme, who helped serve the meals. Everyone enjoyed the meal, and many went back for seconds.

Also attending were Tammy Ryan, President Mutual Aid and Tonya Pousson, Secretary of the Mutual Aid Association and employed by OEP. President Ryan thanked Major Bell and the city of DeQuincy for hosting the event.

The DQPD would like to personally thank Mayor Riley Smith and especially Rebecca Smith for providing the meal for this event. The DQPD would also like to thank the Southwest Mutual Aid Association for always providing vital resources when called upon.
