ORDINANCE NO. 957
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK, POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
WHEREAS, the City of DeQuincy desires to amend its Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures as follows:
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, in legal session convened, amend the Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures as follows:

Page 7 Section P.
P. City shall observe ALL federal holidays.
In order to be paid for a holiday, employees must work their regularly scheduledworkday shift immediately before and after the holiday unless otherwise approved by their supervisor.
Page 20 Section 13.
A. Any employee/official away from home or designated post of duty for City business for a period of more than 12 hours is entitled to a per-diem reimbursement from the city to cover the cost of meals. The per-diem rate schedule is as follows:

Emergency Callouts.
In the case of an emergency call-out, please notify the DeQuincy Police Department Dispatcher or your supervisor of the time you came on duty and the time you went off duty. Your time will be manually put in the system. Non-exempt employees called back after completing the workday, or scheduled day off, will be paid time and one-half their regular rate for all work performed on the call-out or a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the employee straight time rate, whichever is greater.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that all other parts and provisions in the Employee Handbook, Policies and Procedures shall remain in full force and effect.
Said Ordinance having been introduced on the 14th day of August, 2023, notice of Public Hearing having been published on the 6th day of September , 2023, said Public Hearing having been held on the 11th day of September, 2023 with the title having been read and Ordinance considered, on motion by Jim Smith, seconded by Cameron Smith, to adopt the Ordinance. A record vote was taken, and the following result was had:

ABSENT: 0
ABSTAIN: 0
This Ordinance was declared duly adopted this 11th day of September 2023.
