The DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce will participate in the upcoming National Night Out/Fall Festival. The Chamber will have a booth giving out free candy to all. We invite you to mark your calendar for Tuesday, Oct. 31 and join in the fun from 5 until 8 p.m.
Also that evening, the Chamber will sponsor a “Family Costume Contest.” The rule is the family must consist of three or more people. So dressup for this Fall Festival and enter the contest.
Entries will be accepted from 5 to 5:45 p.m. with the judging to begin at 6 p.m. A table will be marked for the purpose of accepting the entries. This is a “Free Event” – No Charge. Cash prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Our sponsor for prizes is Jay DeLouche Law Firm. Make your plans to join the costume contest.
Again this October, the Chamber will sponsor the “Scarecrow Contest”. All businesses are encouraged to participate. The fee to enter is $20. Entries may be paid on Monday or Wednesday at the Town Hall Museum or they maybe mailed to DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce, P. O. Box 625, DeQuincy LA 70633.
This year the Scarecrow may be dressed to your liking – no theme. The deadline for entries is Monday, Oct. 9, with the judging to take place Tuesday, Oct. 10. So all businesses we ask you to participate to help dress up our City for the Fall.
