Selma Bridges Beasley was born Dec. 31, 1944, and passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023.
She is survived by her children, Carl Beasley, Cathy Beasley Flores and husband, Tony, Myricky Beasley, and John Beasley of Houston, Texas, ten grandchildren; sisters, Shannon Haw of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, Charlotte B. Kroger of Austin, Texas and Margaret Spillano of Metairie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Beasley; parents, Wendell Ernest Bridges and Hattie Belle Wyatt Bridges; brothers, Wendell E. Bridges, Jr. and Mitchell Stephen Bridges; and sister, Sonia Bridges.
The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment followed at Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
