Employers can learn more about different kinds of employee training and how the American Job Center can help fund this training at the American Job Center’s “Lunch and Learn” workshop.
The free workshop will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, at the American Job Center, 2424 Third St. in Lake Charles. Lunch will be provided.
Panelists are Olivia Roberts with the Louisiana Workforce Commission, Dayna Hoffpauir with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program, Stephanie Seemion with Workforce Development Board #51, Crystal Scott with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program, and Kenny Lynch with the Louisiana Workforce Commission. They will discuss employment software, Youth Work Experience Program, Workforce Opportunity Tax Credit, on-the-job training, and fidelity bonding.
There is no charge to attend but you must register beforehand by calling 337-721-4010. Registration deadline is July 14.
