Aline Davis Addison was born Nov. 14, 1935, and passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at the age of 87. She was a resident of Starks and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Starks. Aline was an avid supporter of the Starks School and was a bus assistant for Calcasieu Parish.
She is survived by her children, Milton Byrl Addison and wife, “Debby”; granddaughters, DebraLee Addison, Cassie Addison and husband, Dustin, Shayna Bussell Vincent and husband, Jake, and Ciara Bussell Bruce and husband, Trent; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Barbara Foster and Peggy Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Byrl “Buck” Addison; daughter, Laurel Jean Bussell; parents, Silas and Ethel Davis; sisters, Jeanette Frazier and “Pinkie” Pinder.
The family received friends from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, June 3, with the funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Damon Bickham and Rev. Ron Butler officiated. Interment followed at Miller Annex Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
