Edward L. Covert was born Dec. 22, 1966, and passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at the age of 56. He was a hard worker and loved to tinker with things. He loved his friends and family and would do anything to help them. Edward was a loving husband and father that will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Natalie Covert; children, Edward Ross Covert, Jason David Covert and wife, Mindy, and Joline Ann Covert; and siblings, Kathy Doucet, William Covert and wife, Nancie, Mark Covert and wife, Cindy, and David Covert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Covert and Joann Richards Covert; and sisters, Debbie Vallery, Vickie Hantz, and Nancy Traske.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6:10 p.m., on Wednesday, May 10, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 11, at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in DeQuincy. Interment to follow at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth Street, DeQuincy.
