Harley Bryant

Harley Bryant,74, of Vinton was born Mar. 10, 1949 in Orange, Texas, and passed away Wednesday, Mar. 22, 2023 in Lake Charles. Harley worked as a service technician at Sears for 40 years. He loved the outdoors, tinkering with things, and he could build or repair anything.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cathy Bryant; children, Tammy Miller, Michael Bryant and wife, Susie, Darrell Doucet and wife, Rebecca, and Kathy Jo Dinger and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Ann Miller, Jason Miller, Dustin Rose, Harli Rose, Logan Doucet, Alec Bryant, and Luke Bryant; great-grandchildren, Damon, Paisley, Lane, Olivia, Jack, Conner, and Parker; sisters, Barbara Allen, Billie Hall and husband, Sam, Mary Lou Couthran, Alla Mae Maksymchuk, and Jodie Leger and husband, Curt; and sister-in-law, Jane Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Acie and Vada Bryant; brother, Carl Bryant; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Horace and Rella Hyatt; and brother-in-law, James Hyatt.

The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Mar. 24, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Mar. 25, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Rose and Rev. Karl Smith officiated. Interment followed at Miller Annex in Starks.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
