Chessley Keith Wood, 74, of Ragley died on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023.
He graduated class of 1966 from Sam Houston High School in Moss Bluff and served in the United States Army in Vietnam. In 1979, he opened Chessley Wood Construction.
He was survived by his two sons, Jason and Selena Wood of Lake Charles, and Sean and Kristy Wood of Ragley; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Carolyn Valenti, Lisa Powell, and Connie Gill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Wood, youngest son, Troy Wood, and parents, Cecil and Wilma Wood.
Funeral service was held on Friday, Jan. 27, at the Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Father Jeffrey Starkovich officiated. Interment followed at New Ritchie Cemetery.
