Russell Joel Cooley, 77, of Lake Charles died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2022.
He was born in Cambridge, England. He graduated from LaGrange High. He was in the U.S. Navy and served his country as an electrician. He attended McNeese University and earned a business degree. He spent his life building and remodeling homes across SWLA.
He is survived by his daughter, Leah and Jeremy Broussard; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and former wife, Linda Cooley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Audrey Cooley; step-mother, Gladys Cooley; one brother; and daughter, Tracy Cooley.
A Memorial service was held at New Life Worship Center in Moss Bluff Tuesday, Jan. 10.
