Landry elected Police Jury president

At its Jan. 5 regular meeting, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury elected Chris Landry as its 2023 president and Guy Brame as its vice president.

Landry, who last served as president in 2016, succeeds Tony Stelly, who serves District 10. This is the fourth time Brame, who was elected in 2005, has served as vice president.

“Thanks to my fellow Jurors for entrusting me to represent them as president in 2023; it’s a great honor,” Landry said. “I pledge to do my best for them and for the residents of Calcasieu Parish.”

Landry is serving his sixth term representing District 7, which includes the City of Lake Charles and portions of Ward 3. He was first elected in 1999 and served as vice president in 2006 and as president in 2007 and again in 2016.

President and owner of Landry Supply/Napa Auto Parts, Landry is a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and is past member of the Jobbers Advisory Council for the National Automotive Parts Association. He and his wife, Leslie, have three children.

Brame represents District 8, which includes the City of Lake Charles area and portions of Ward 3. He previously served as Police Jury vice president in 2009, 2017 and 2021 and as president in 2011.
