“Pony” Clemile John Crochet, Sr., 76, was born Oct. 8, 1945 and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022. Pony loved fishing, family, and drinking.
He is survived by his children, Clemile “Boogie” John Crochet, Jr. and wife, Roseanna, Felicity Mitchell, Kristie Hyatt and husband, Charles, Decator “Jake” Crochet, Sr., Tressie Mitchell and husband, Craig, Deidre Reed and husband, Raymond, and Monaca Sarvaunt; grandchildren, Amberly, Raymond, Clemile III, Meagan, John, Michelle, Cherish, Bret, Jazmyn, Charles, Jr., Decator, Jr., Acklin, Alyssa, Christian, Ian, Brant, Dustin, Ashia, Caylin, and Evan; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Gerald Crochet and wife, Janice, Geraldine Ashley, Diane Sharp, and Catherine Kirkland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Crochet, Sr. and Flavia Crochet; siblings, Alvin Crochet, Jr., Calma Champagne, Anthony Crochet, Kenneth “Lulu” Crochet, Bruce Crochet, Phyllis Crochet, Emmalou Sauce, Acklin Crochet, and Beverly Crochet.
Cremation has been entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th St., DeQuincy.
