Robert “Bob” Barney was born on Dec. 7, 1940, and passed away Saturday,Sept. 3, 2022, at the age of 81.
He is survived by his children, Bobbie Golemon and husband, Larry, John Barney and fiancée, Danetta, and Vance Barney and girlfriend, Nicole Young; and grandchildren, Kayla Spell and husband, Josh, Kevin Golemon and wife, Ashton, Krista Kachtik and husband, Kane, Marilee Brinson and husband, Daniel, and Karlee Parkhurst and husband, Brac; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Peggy Duncan, Alice Harvey, and Nancy Blanchard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashbel Barney and Georgianna Vandemark; and siblings Alberta Holden, Ashbel Barney, Jr., Janet Strickland, and Ralph Barney.
A graveside service will be held on 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 9, at Deweyville Cemetery in Deweyville, Texas.
Arrangements will be handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th St., DeQuincy.
