Austin Wayne Scott, 29, of DeRidder died on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022.
He is survived by his parents, Angela and Chet Slaydon of Singer; grandparents, Joyce and Michael Scott of Singer; grandfather, Chester Slaydon of Singer; brothers, Russell Meek and Chrissy of Rosepine, Lee Slaydon and Alicia of Leesville; and sister, Alyssa Rhodes and Cody of Singer.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pearl Slaydon of Singer; great grandmother, Lucille Griffin of Singer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Graveside funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 1, at Newlin Cemetery in Singer. Brother Lyndon Longoria will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Newlin Cemetery in Singer.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations for funeral expenses.
