Glenda Sittig Duplichan, 65, of Westlake died Sunday, July 17, 2022 in a New Orleans hospital.
She was born in Lake Charles and was raised in Gillis before moving to Westlake. She attended Sam Houston High School. She was a special education teacher’s aide in Westlake and was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, A.J. Duplichan of Westlake; daughter, Jennifer Duplichan of Westlake; stepchildren, Jonathan Duplichan (Kathryn) of Ragley, Tracy Duplichan (Beth) of the Philippines, and Angel Courville (Mike) of Nevada; siblings, Fred Sittig, Jr. and Rodney Sittig, both of Sulphur; two grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren; and step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Fred Sittig, Sr.; stepson, Mike Duplichan; and three brothers.
A funeral mass was held Saturday, July 23, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church. Father Jenesh Joseph officiated. Burial followed in Old Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
