Lois Parker

Lois Brister Parker, 70, was born Mar. 13, 1952 in Vidor, Texas and passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at her residence in Oretta. She loved vacations, fishing, flea markets, reading her Bible, collecting things, singing, and dancing. She was of the Baptist faith, But, most of all she loved her family and she was a mawmaw to all the kids.

She is survived by her husband, Harold “Junebug” Parker, Jr.: children, Stacy Earl and husband, Dewaine, Quinten Parker and wife, Amanda and Wendy Seal and husband, Jody; grandchildren, Dalton Earl, Paden Earl, Cody Seal and fiance’ Camryn Kingery, Josh Seal and Rylen Parker. She is also survived by her honorary daughter, Shonda Burnett and honorary grandchildren, Jordan Smith, Cheyenne LaCaze and Baylee Doyle; brother, Sonny Brister; sisters, Carolyn Marcantel and Margaret Foster and husband, Robert.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Norma Jean Parker; parents, James Grover Brister and Ella Evaline Legg Brister; brother, Roger Brister, and sisters, Linda Warden and Patsy Frazier.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, and the funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7. The visitation and funeral will be held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Mr. David Warden and Mr. Olin Earl will be officiating. Interment to follow at Oretta Cemetery in Singer.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
