Meaux receives award at summit

Allegiance Health Management held their 20th Anniversary Leadership Summit on Thursday, May 26, in Bossier City at Horseshoe Casino Hotel.

At the Banquet Awards Dinner, Jason Reed, President of Psychiatric Services presented Mistie Meaux, RN, Program Administrator of Freedom Behavioral Health Hospital, a Distinct Part Unit (DPU) of DeQuincy Memorial Hospital with the 2021 Freedom Behavioral Health Award.

The Freedom Award is given to the Program that exemplifies passion in patient care and strives daily to hold the highest standard for the program. A true passion for the mental health of the patients, families and community.

Meaux has worked in mental health nursing for over 20 years, having worked in DeQuincy Memorial Behavioral Health unit for 10 years. Her nursing career started at the hospital in 1997 as a CNA as well as having worked for Dr. Jalah Joudeh at DeQuincy Medical Clinic.

There were nine awards presented at this year’s banquet dinner.

During the Team Building event, DeQuincy Memorial staff participated and tied for 2nd at this Summit.
