Todd Stephens

Todd Eric Stephens, 53, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in Baton Rouge after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

He was an inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to know him. Born Aug. 16, 1968 to his loving parents, Jim and Becky Stephens. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Anthony Stephens and wife, Karen; his two nephews, Ryan Stephens, and Patrick Stephens and niece, Kelly Stephens; aunts and uncles, Pat and Raymond Cooley of DeQuincy, and Glynn and Jean Stephens of Morgan City and a multitude of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Henagan of DeQuincy and Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Stephens of Baton Rouge.

Todd graduated from Trafton High School in 1986 and studied at Louisiana Tech University and Louisiana State University. He made his home in Dallas, Texas in 1989 and was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas.

Todd loved his family and was deeply grateful for their love and support through his journey with cancer. He will be greatly missed and remembered most for his kind, giving heart, humor and love of all sports. We who know Todd best will smile often recalling his two passions – Jesus and LSU.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Todd’s life on Saturday, June 11, at Jefferson Baptist Church, 9135 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m.
