Joy Gray was born Sept. 9, 1966 and passed away Saturday, Apr. 30, 2022 at the age of 55.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney Gray; daughters, Kelly Adams and husband, Todd, Amanda Brooks and husband, Eddie; son, Caleb Gray; spiritual daughters, Natalie Rocha and Nephtali Medrano; spiritual sisters, Sarah Seaton and Isabella Mendoza; brother, Wesley Smith; sister, Jynilynn (Jin) Stange; uncle, Danny Smith; along with many other family and friends. She is also survived by her in-laws, Richard and Mona Gray, Peter and Liz Gray, Martha and Anton Smikal, Jessie and Chelsea Gray and Mike Gray.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jay Smith and Darlene Smith; grandmother, Louise Smith; brothers, Jerry Smith and Kelly Smith; father-in-law and mother-in- law, Rev. RT Gray and Martha Joyce Gray.
The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, and the funeral service will begin at 7 p.m.
The visitation and funeral will be held at The Promise Church. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Trout Creek Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
