Joyce Rainey was born on Dec. 6, 1937, and passed away Thursday, Apr. 7, 2022, at the age of 84 in DeRidder.
She is survived by her sons, Von Mitchell and wife, Wendy, and Wesley Jordan and wife, Lila; nine grandchildren, along with numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey “PeeWee” Rainey; her daughter, Dana Ann Cole and husband, Vernell; parents Stephen A. Ashley and Doris Walker; and a grandchild, Ricky Ray Cole.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Apr. 11, at Walker Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
