Mary Jane Harris, 82, of DeQuincy, died on Sunday, Mar. 20, 2022 at her residence.
She was born in Washington. She was a member of the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Grand Avenue Rosenwald School.
She was survived by her stepdaughter, Constance Harris; goddaughters, Angela Oneil, Albertha Jolivette, and Bobbie Gray; stepsons, Prentice Harris and Philip Harris Jr.; and godson, Thomas Mallett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Harris; parents, Mitchell Ford and Albertha Miller; two sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services were held Saturday Mar. 26, at Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in DeQuincy. Pastor James B. Harris officiated. Burial was at Community Cemetery in DeQuincy under the direction of James Funeral Home.
