The DeQuincy Tigers go 2-1 in Sammy Yellott Memorial Tournament.

Two pitchers work together to earn victory for DeQuincy against Oak Hill in no-hitter.

DeQuincy’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as DeQuincy defeated Oak Hill 10-0 on Thursday.

DeQuincy secured the victory thanks to eight runs in the first inning. DeQuincy’s offense in the inning came from Matthew VanSlyke and Reese Ashworth, a single by Sammy Maddox, and a double by Ashworth.

Maddox was the winning pitcher for DeQuincy. Maddox allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. LeBlanc threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
DeQuincy totaled nine hits in the game. Dalton Davis, Maddox, and Gavin Gary each had two hits to lead DeQuincy.

DeQuincy/Doyle

DeQuincy Falls To Doyle 5-2.

DeQuincy got on the board in the first inning when Quentin Pharris doubled.

Doyle knotted the game up at one in the top of the third inning.

After Doyle scored one run in the top of the seventh, DeQuincy answered with one of their own. Doyle scored when Abedn Kennedy singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. DeQuincy then answered when Woods induced Pharris to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Reese Ashworth took the loss for DeQuincy. Ashworth surrendered four runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven.

Pharris went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead DeQuincy in hits.

DeQuincy/Pine Prairie

Four RBI Day for Sammy Maddox leads DeQuincy past Pine Prairie.

Sammy Maddox came to the ballpark and meant business on Saturday, driving in four on two hits to lead DeQuincy past Pine Prairie 14-4 on Saturday. Maddox drove in runs on a single in the second and a double in the fifth.

Drew Duhon led the Tigers to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The righty lasted five innings, allowing ten hits and four runs while striking out three and walking one.

DeQuincy racked up nine hits in the game. Both Reese Ashworth and Maddox collected multiple hits for DeQuincy. Ashworth went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead DeQuincy in hits.
