Lady Tigers defeat Jennings

The DeQuincy Lady Tigers got things going in the first inning, when Raeleigh Granger homered scoring three runs for the Tigers, as they defeated Jennings 14-4.

The Lady Tigers scored five runs in the third inning. Laurel Patin, Baileigh Kellogg, Granger, and Hannah Jefferson each had RBIs in the frame.

Granger was the winning pitcher for DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity. The righthander went three innings, allowing four runs on two hits and striking out four. Gabrielle Lafferty threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

The Lady Tigers launched three home runs on the day. Kamryn Mitchell had a dinger in the second inning. Granger had a long ball in the first inning. Patin had a four bagger in the third inning.

The DeQuincy Lady Tigers saw the ball well on Feb. 23, racking up 16 hits in the game. Kellogg, Katie Willis, Jefferson, Mitchell, and Granger all managed multiple hits for DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity. Kellogg went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity in hits.
