Eddie Ray Handy, 64, of Merryville died on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022.
He was survived by his brothers, Alvin Earl Handy of Sweeney, Texas, Stephon Handy of Beaumont, Texas, Jerry Handy and Shelia of Lufkin, Texas and Phillip Oliphant of San Antonia, Texas; sisters, Gloria Jones of Bon Wier, Texas, Earlene Bowen of Newton, Texas, and Deon Rideau of Palmetto.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Filmore Matthew and Creola Oliphant.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at True Light Baptist Church, in Merryville. Pastor Alan Hadnot will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Hemphill, Texas.
