Buford “Buddy” Hayes was born Aug. 6, 1969 and passed away at his residence in DeQuincy on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022 at the age of 52.
He is survived by his wife, Renee Hayes; son, Luke Robinson; and daughter, Danielle Freeman and husband, Troy; grandchildren, Evelyn and Lilith; brother, Alan Hayes; and sisters, Annette Bertrand and Kate “Sissy” Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Melvin Hayes and Donie Ann Alston Hayes.
The family will receive friends from 8-10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, with the Celebration of Life to begin at 10 a.m. Rev. Anthony Kennon will be officiating. The visitation and Celebration of Life will be held at Riley Smith & Sons Chapel in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
