DeQuincy Street and Sewer Department Head, Hank Frazier, wants to inform the public that FEMA is no longer picking up debris.
Frazier noted that several citizens are still dumping their construction debris in the ditches. City crews pick up limbs, but they do not pick up construction debris.
He requests that our citizens should make other arrangements to have their debris hauled off. Dumping debris in our ditches interferes with our water drainage.
Frazier wants to thank our citizens in advance for not dumping debris in our ditches. Our city crews are working hard each day on numerous projects and with our citizens not dumping in our ditches, it really helps.
