George William Hoffpauir, 50, of Vinton died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Milton, Fla. He was a graduate of McNeese State University where he earned a bachelors degree in Agriculture. He worked as an Operator for Westlake Chemical for the past 24 years. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard for 10 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Trahan Hoffpauir of Vinton; children, Celine Watkins and husband, Dean of DeQuincy, Faith Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, Ethan Hoffpauir of Vinton, Caleb LeBlanc of Orange, Texas; one grandson; parents, Cecil and Judy Hoffpauir of Iota; brothers, Craig Hoffpauir of Crowley, and Jeffery Hoffpauir of Searcy, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Rose Leonards, and George and Celie Pearl Hoffpauir.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton with Rev. Sam Bond and Rev. Carlos Garcia officiating. Interment followed in St. Leo IV Catholic Cemetery in Rayne (Robert’s Cove).
