Catherine Peloquin

Catherine “Gwen” LeBleu Peloquin, 77, of Lake Charles died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021.

She was born in Lake Charles. She was a life long resident of Moss Bluff. She was a graduate with the first graduating class of Sam Houston High School and was very proud to be named the first Sam Houston High School Homecoming Queen and Ms. Sam Houston. She worked for Water District #1 in Moss Bluff and retired after 28 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff where she served in the kitchen preparing Wednesday night meals. She also was a member of Eastern Star Lodge 242 in Moss Bluff for 50 years.

She is survived by her son, Ross Peloquin, Jr. and wife Tammy of Moss Bluff; daughters, Carla Davis and husband Garry of Canyon Lake, Texas. and Sherrie Cavys and husband Jared of Ragley; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred “Bubba” LeBleu, II of Moss Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Cleveland LeBleu and Della White LeBleu; one brother; and six sisters.

Visitation will resume at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. until the time of services. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home led by Pastor Bill Saxby of First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff. Burial will be immediately following at Old Ritchie Cemetery.
