Ward 6 Fire Dept. was paged at 1:46 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, to respond to a structure fire on Mister Roberts Road in the Hargrove area, northwest of DeQuincy.
Upon arrival, flames and smoke were showing from under the single wide mobile home. They extinguished the fire and ventilated the home.
A total of eight firefighters from Ward 6, along with Engines 7, 15, 19, Service 6 and Command Units 901 and 902 responded. Automatic aid was received from DeQuincy Fire Dept., who responded to the scene with trucks and manpower to assist, and Houston River Fire Dept., who stood by at Ward 6 headquarters covering the District while firefighters were on scene.
There were no injuries to anyone on scene. The investigation is being handled by the LA State Fire Marshal.
