Agnes Mary Davis was born Dec. 13, 1932 and passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at the age of 88.
She is survived by her children, Felton Davis, Jr. and wife, Marva of Lake Charles, Claude Davis of DeQuincy, David Davis and wife, Janice of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Harriet Davis of Lake Charles along with 14 grandchildren;, 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jeff Mays, Sr. of DeQuincy and sister, Rosa Mae Washington of New Iberia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felton Davis, Sr.; parents, Aaron Mays and Harriet Robert Mays; brothers and sisters, Wilson Batiste, Allen Batiste, Robert Batiste, Dorothy Batiste, Egnora Batiste, June Mays and John Mays; her daughter-in-law, Debra Faye Davis; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mays.
The family will receive friends beginning at 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, with a Rosary beginning at 9:45 a.m. at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, 203 S. Grand Ave., DeQuincy. Interment will follow in Community Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
