Beauregard Fire Dist. 2’s New Assistant Chief is Nathan Smith.
Smith came to this district in January where he filled the role of a Training Coordinator for six months. During this time District Chief Wayne Baggett made the decision to add Smith to his command staff. He works for Westlake Fire Department where he is a Shift Captain/EMT-B and has been in the fire service for over 13 years.
Smith is currently enrolled in Columbia Southern pursuing his Fire Science degree.
He is a DeQuincy native and has a passion for the fire service and his community. He is an advocate for mental health awareness in the emergency services.
He is the husband to Sidney Smith and the father of Kensley Smith.
