Greta Rainwater Gillis was born Jan. 2, 1957 and passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 at the age of 64.
She is survived by her children, Johnathon Dean Guillory and Marlena Carlin and husband, Randy; grandchildren, James Guillory, Ethan Billedeaux, Amelia Rose Carlin and Beau Carlin; mother, Ila Jean Rainwater; sisters Lana Manuel and husband, Wallace and Zan Hafer; along with several nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marlin Gillis; and father, Ozie Rainwater.
The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-12 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1. The visitation and funeral service will be held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment to follow at Oretta Cemetery in Singer
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
