Billie Pettifield, 87, of Lake Charles died Friday, Sept. 3, 2021.
She was a graduate of Jonesboro-Hodge High in Jonesboro. Shortly after graduation she started a career at Bell South in Lake Charles.
She worked as a Care Giver in Geriatric Home Care and was also a Poll Worker for Calcasieu Parish.
She is survived by her son, Herbert Charles and wife Katy of Topsy; daughters, Melinda Pettifield-Cagle and husband Alex of Moss Bluff, Melissa Pettifield-McManus and husband, Ray of Ragley, Billie Margo Fallon and husband, Mark of Moss Bluff, Molly Pettifield-Hines and husband Blake of Lake Charles; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ethel Massey Vines; husband, HJ Pettifield; and three sisters.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Burial followed at Creel Cemetery.
