Richard Joseph “Rick” Babel was born Dec. 28, 1959 and passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2021 in Sulphur.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Ball Babel; children, Chelsea Babel, Leshawna Istre and wife, Amanda, Jemma McClain and Kasey Thomas; six grandchildren, Gilbert, River, Lacie Kay, Rico, Rowan and Zephyr; brothers Ronald Babel and Roger Babel; and sisters, Debra Rameau and Nancy White.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Babel and Charlotte Marie Pranger Babel; and brother, Raymond Babel.
Cremation has been entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
