Robert Dean Gamble, 55, was born Nov. 8, 1965 in DeQuincy and passed away Monday, Aug. 9, 2021.
Robert was a 1985 graduate of DeQuincy High School. He was a faithful member of The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy. For many years, Robert played the trumpet in the church orchestra. Robert was loved by many, especially his extended family the Carters, Sissy, Cavin, Dena and Trey. Robert was a hard worker, working at Wal-Mart, Brookshires, Popeyes, DeQuincy Care Center and as a janitor for the Calcasieu Parish School Board. Robert was one of the kindest, most humble people you would ever meet and he will be greatly missed by those who knew and cared for him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gracie Mae Gamble; and grandparents, Harry Edward Gamble, Ilia Dove Gamble and Zenia Dove.
The family will receive friends 3-4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, at The Pentecostal Church, 301 West Fourth St., DeQuincy, with the funeral service to begin at 4 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at the Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy with Pastor Wayne Neyland officiating.
A special thanks to DeQuincy Care Center and Heart of Hospice for the compassionate care given to Robert during his stay at the Center.
