“The Lady” – A Tribute to our Railroad Heritage and our Future! Watch for our special edition of the DeQuincy News to publish on Wednesday, Apr. 21, announcing the winners of the essay contest. The contest, sponsored by DeQuincy News and DeQuincy Garden Club, to tell the story of the pretty lady at the train depot was inspired from the mural painted on one of DeQuincy’s historical buildings that was recently razed due to storm damages.
All the essays will be published in this keepsake issue, along with historical stories and photos, to bring back “traces/memories” of times gone by and to compliment the writers’ stories.
