Tigers defeated Lake Arthur 17-4 on Monday.
Tigers secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the fourth inning. Hadley Cooley, Sammy Maddox, Traive Goutreaux, Drew Duhon, Jacob Goodfriend, and Gavin Gary all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Jake Pharris took the win for Tigers. The righthander surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, striking out six. Gunner Gearen and Maddox entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Tigers scattered 17 hits in the game. Goutreaux, Cooley, Reese Ashworth, Duhon, Gary, Gearen, and Rayden Rosalis each managed multiple hits for Tigers. Goutreaux went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Tigers in hits.
