Ward Six Fire Department called out three times

Ward Six Firefighters responded to three separate emergency calls on Monday, Feb. 1.

The first call was received at 1:33 p.m. for mutual aid assistance to Houston River Fire Dept. for a woods fire on Houston River Rd. Four Ward 6 firefighters, along with Engine 7, Rescue 2 and Brush Unit 21 responded.

The second call was received at 2:07 p.m. for mutual aid assistance to DeQuincy Fire Dept. for a grass fire on Duff St. Three firefighters from Ward 6 responded. All Ward 6 units were cancelled enroute.

The third call was received at 3:12 p.m. for a woods fire on Hwy. 27 north of DeQuincy. Four Ward 6 firefighters, along with Engine 7, Service 8, Rescue 2 and Brush Unit 21 responded. DeQuincy Fire Dept. responded per our mutual aid request and provided trucks and manpower to assist.
