James Darwin Gimnick, a resident of Ragley was born June 18, 1959 in DeQuincy and passed away Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021 at the age of 61.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristin Leger and husband, Justin; grandchildren, Alaina, Annabell and Amelia; mother, Betty Jane Gimnick; and brother, Robert O. Gimnick.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete Mack Gimnick; grandparents, Wallace and Janet McCauley and Custer and Bobbie Gimnick.
The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy and the funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, at the funeral home. Interment followed at Alston Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
