Dorothy Elaine “Dot” Vincent, 69, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at her daughter’s residence.
She was a native of the Abbeville-Kaplan area and had been a resident of Edgerly for over 50 years. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Edgerly. She retired after many years of service as Cafeteria Manager for Sulphur High School.
She is survived by her children, Heath Vincent and wife, Tina of Sulphur, Shannon Vincent Duplant and husband, Chad of Vinton, and Heather Vincent Breen and husband, Mike of Vinton; her step-children, Trent Vincent and wife, Sandra of Pineville, Trevis Vincent of Monroe, and Theresa Vincent of DeQuincy; her siblings, Charles Touchet of Florida and Jeri Faulk of Abbeville; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James “Butch” Vincent; and six siblings.
A Celebration Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
