Nellie Lee Thompson, a lifelong resident of DeQuincy was born Oct. 30, 1927 and passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at the age of 93.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Hollis, Jeannie Wood, Marsha Perkins, James Thompson and Elvis Dean Thompson; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O. C. Thompson; four children, O. C. Daniel Thompson, Jimmy Wayne Thompson, Troy Lynn Thompson and Graylin Thompson; her parents, Robert Mullins and Candice Frazier Mullins.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Church of the Remnant, 291 North St., Singer and the funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the church. Interment followed at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
