Truitt Lamar Mitchell, 83, of Singer died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020.
He was a member of Boilermakers 587 for 40 years and co-owner of M&M grocery in Singer for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Yellott Mitchell of Singer; son, Blaine Mitchell and Jean Ann of Singer; daughters, Regina Farris and Keith of Singer, Carla Mitchell of Singer; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Carrie Mitchell; two sisters; and one grandson, Christopher Benoit.
Graveside funeral service was held Sunday, Nov. 15, at Newlin Cemetery in Singer. Bro. Donnis Ashworth and Bro. Bobby Slaydon officiated the service. Burial followed at Newlin Cemetery in Singer under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
