West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital annouced that Megan Berry Gallien, PT, DPT and DeQuincy native, has been awarded the professional designation of board-certified clinical specialist in pediatric physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Candidates must submit evidence of a minimum of 2,000 hours of clinical practice or complete an accredited residency program in their chosen specialty area. In addition, candidates must successfully complete a rigorous examination, demonstrating specialized knowledge and advanced clinical proficiency in a specialty area of physical therapist practice.
