DeQuincy notches first win 40-0

After Kinder cancelled last week’s game DeQuincy found itself without a team to play. Coaches scrambled to find a opponent finally finding one on Wednesday which gave them only two days to prepare for the game.

The opponent the Tigers of LaSalle from Olla. DeQuincy scored early and often notching the 40-0 win.

DeQuincy scored twice in the first quarter with Hudson Snyder scoring on a 22 yard run and Rayden Rosalis on a 24 yard run. Hadley Cooley added both points after.

Jacob Goodfriend scored on a Pick Six as he took the interception back for a 13 yard touchdown. Trey Penigar rounded out the first half scoring with a 9 yard run. Half time score was 27-0.

Rayden Rosalis started the scoring in the second half with a 2 yard run, the Hadley Cooley kick made it 34-0.

Rayden Rosalis rounded out the scoring with a 46 yard Interception return for a touchdown.

Top passer for the game was Reese Ashworth with 28 yards. Top rusher was Rayden Rosalis with 74 yards and top receiver was Taije Ceaser with 25 yards.

Next up for the Tigers will be the Vinton Lions Friday in Vinton at 7 p.m. Get your tickets early and come out and support the road weary Tigers. As always, Go Tigers!!
