L.G. Partin, Jr. died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020.
L.G. Partin, Jr. was born in Goose Creek, Texas. He was a graduate of DeQuincy High School, where he excelled in football and baseball. He was both a quarterback, All District Lead Passer, and a kicker. He pitched many no-hitters for school and civic teams, leading them to state championships, and, pitched many games with a near 100 mph pitch.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Partin; daughters, Kimberly Partin Couch, and husband, Tim, Sherry Partin Hitefield, and husband, Jesse; grandchildren Chandler Hitefield and Mckinna Hitefield; brothers; Bill Partin, and wife, Jackie, Tommy Partin, and wife, Nellie; and sister Glenda Dupuis, and husband, Keith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, L.G. Partin, Sr. and Ethel Pauline (Polly) Knight Miller.
Funeral services were held at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many Saturday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Davis officiating.
